Climbing Mount Everest in slippers - the dilemma between research and practice

Jan Fredrik Schønheyder is an industrial and interaction designer with more than ten years of experience in the domain of safety-critical systems. From maritime and subsea operations to medical systems and airspace surveillance, he has focused on simplifying information and functionality through conceptual and explorative user-centric approaches. In a strive to further understand the limitations and opportunities of professional users, he has researched how situation awareness theory can be translated into practice based design methods. Jan Fredrik earned a PhD for this work in the spring of 2019.
